If you missed suits you may not have heared much about it. It’s had a quite under the rader launch in the UK.

You can access it on Netflix or by watching it on Dave if you’ve only got freeview.

Other than that it’s nefarious internet means if you want to see it.

Suits is the story of a Lawfirm called Pearson Hardman and their new recruit.

His name is Mike Ross and he is not a Lawyer.

What he has going for him is a photographic memory and a history of being a weed fiend and a drug dealer.

Upon accidentally landing himself a job, he ends up on a voyage of discovery about his identity and the meaning of success.

It is by no means a perfect show.

In the first series I had issues with how male dominated it was and how the women in the series seemed to exist as dependent on the strong male characters.

As the series progresses however, the writing seems to improve as the female parts are enriched and things start to get more interesting.

The content of the show is comparable to a mixture of House and the Office.

Each episode is about a case but intermingled with that is the very real sense of the office relationships.

This is where much of the wit and comedy of the show is displayed.

The characters collide well and there is clearly good chemistry on the set of the show.

My criticism with it is that it thinks that it is a bit too cool.

It has that wise cracking loftiness of a ninetees buddy movie that I think actually detracts from the action at times.

The characters tend to find their character flaws in quite a draconian way. People don’t have minor problems in this show.

Also as the show progresses it seems to hire the best side characters from Game of Thrones as it’s bit parts.

This is quite distracting given that its very hard to see Varys and Catlin Stark on the same set together without thinking of them as if they were in a modern Game of Thrones.

I am nit picking though.

If you are looking for a binge watch, this will be right up your street. It’s entertaining, witty and well researched.

You will pick up a fair bit of legal jargon on the way too.
